According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Denver Nuggets have signed Bol Bol to a new two-year contract worth $4.2 million.
Charania had a follow up tweet discussing how the Nuggets are “excited” about Bol’s development for the upcoming season. With all the departures from the Nuggets roster in free agency, Bol could easily see rotation minutes as early as this upcoming season.
This also means Bol is now on a standard NBA deal instead of the two-way contract he played on last season. Denver has already signed Marquette standout Markus Howard to fill one of their two-way spots. With Bol now on an NBA contract, the Nuggets now have one more two-way deal at their disposal.
Bol really shined in the bubble last season, specifically in the Nuggets scrimmage and final eight regular season games. Not only did Bol commit a number of highlight reel making plays, but he also flashed potential as a defender and more specifically as a shot blocker.
Here’s to hoping we see a lot more of this from Bol next season and beyond!
