The Athletic’s Shams Charania has tweeted out a timeline for the recovery of Paul Millsap.
Millsap hit the floor hard in the third quarter of the Denver Nuggets’ road loss to the Charlotte Hornets on Friday, and he left the game immediately with what we now know is a broken big toe.
Millsap’s injury is a tough one to swallow, but it stings all the more considering it’s his second major injury in as many seasons, and it makes him the third Nuggets starter to miss serious time this season. Denver is currently awaiting the return of Gary Harris, and Will Barton, who are both out with hip injuries. Barton is the nearest to returning, and is listed as week-to-week on the injury report. We’re still awaiting an official diagnosis on Harris, but his timeline has been set at three-to-four weeks, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Over half of Denver’s payroll is currently sidelined with an injury, and Nuggets fans will cross their fingers that Charania’s timeline is accurate. PFM can’t return soon enough.
