According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Houston Rockets have received permission from the Denver Nuggets to interview assistant coach, Wes Unseld Jr.
Unseld has been the “defensive coordinator “ during his time with the Nuggets and has done a phenomenal job revamping Denver’s defense. It would be tough to lose Unseld, but he’s certainly earned this opportunity and Michael Malone has been advocating how ready Unseld is to be a head coach for quite some time.
Malone feels Unseld is “more than ready” to be a head coach and I guess the Rockets agree. We will continue to monitor the Nuggets coaching situation here at Denver Stiffs and keep you updated once more information becomes available.
