According to Jake Fischer of Sports Illustrated and SB Nation's LibertyBallers.com, several teams are weary that Thon Maker is much older than he claims to be.

Thon was an internet sensation when his mixtape claimed him to be a 7-foot Kevin Durant. Those comparisons were way off base as Thon lacks a lot of the overall skill that Durant had as a prep player but Thon still has the size, mobility, adn athleticism to be a great prospect. That is, assuming he really is a 19 year old. If he has lied about his age and is actually 21 or 22, that would be a huge red flag.
