Smoke screen season is officially in full swing with the NBA Draft just two days away, but that isn’t a reason to gloss over rumors involving the Denver Nuggets. It started with Kevin O’Connor of The Ringer earlier today, who had this to say about Denver:
This is what O’Connor had to say in the article:
“League sources say the Nuggets are trying to move up from the 26th pick into the top 20, and using young bench players or future picks as lures. Denver has historically drafted for upside, so if the pick is made here, Jackson fits the team profile as a bouncy big who could thrive if he’s given time to improve his weaknesses.”
Another rumor then surfaced on the latest episode of The Lowe Post featuring Zach Lowe, Jonathan Givony, and Mike Schmitz as Givony had this to say at the end of the episode on Denver:
It’s tough to speculate who the Nuggets could be targeting in a potential trade up with how deep this years draft class is. The Nuggets don’t have many future picks to offer though as they would most likely have to offer a player or two along with their 26th selection.
What do you think Nuggets fans? Any legs to these rumors or are they just smoke?
