For those of you that don’t know, in addition to hosting Locked on Nuggets throughout the week, I also host the Friday edition of the Locked on NBA podcast. This week I was joined by Sam Amick, senior NBA writer for The Athletic, to discuss the staying power of the surprise teams in the Western Conference, including the Denver Nuggets.
The Nuggets discussion begins around the 12 minute mark. Amick covered Michael Malone while they were both in Sacramento so he has a great perspective on his personality and coaching style. He shares some skepticism about Nikola Jokic’s ability to carry the Denver Nuggets while Paul Millsap, Gary Harris, and Will Barton are all out with injuries but is optimistic about their overall chances at reaching the playoffs.
