NBA podcasts are awesome, especially when they feature legitimate NBA players.
One of the best developments over the last couple of years has been the interaction between athletes and media members in podcast form. Richard Jefferson and Channing Frye took this to another level last year on UNINTERRUPTED’s Road Trippin’ podcast, where they spoke at length about NBA experiences and interacted with other players.
The Road Trippin’ podcast with Allie Clifton is making its triumphant return this season, rebranding after Jefferson was signed by the Denver Nuggets in the offseason. The rebrand “Road Trippin’ Richard vs Channing” begins with Frye’s thoughts on Cleveland’s early struggles while Jefferson adds in his own commentary. The two conversed with former Cavaliers legends Austin Carr and Jim Chones about players in history that remind them of players today, along with other fun topics. The back and forth banter is very funny, and the NBA knowledge is very interesting to hear. There are very few opportunities to hear NBA players talk at length about how they play the game, and having four players and former players discuss the game is just awesome.
Another UNINTERRUPTED podcast is making its debut titled “Road Trippin’ NBA.” This one will feature NBA players from different cities on a rotating basis, and the first episode features Kent Bazemore and Mike Muscala from Atlanta. The link for it can be found right here.
Make sure to check both of them out, and go check out UNINTERRUPTED for more interactions with professional athletes!
