The Denver Nuggets handily beat a really good Miami Heat team last night behind a massive game from Will Barton. Not only did Barton tie Nikola Jokic for the Nuggets team lead with 25 points, but he did so on an efficient 9-of-14 shooting from the field, 7-of-9 from beyond the arc.
Barton played 35 minutes chipping in six assists and five rebounds as he was constantly making big time plays for not just himself, but his teammates as well. The Nuggets were able to generate a ton of great looks for Barton and to his credit he knocked them down almost every single time.
In the Nuggets 10 games so far thus season, Barton is averaging 16.2 points per game and is shooting 39.7 percent from beyond the three-point line. With Jamal Murray out and Michael Porter Jr. missing time for the “foreseeable future,” Barton seems poised to step up and has already proved that in the early stages of the Nuggets season.
