The closest living thing to a dinosaur in the modern word are birds, snakes, sharks, and even crocodiles. I guess you could throw the Raptors into the category as they were brought back from extinction after winning the NBA title last season.
Jerami Grant changed that yesterday when he posterized Rondae Hollis-Jefferson so bad they are going to name the next Jurassic Park movie after this play.
Not only is this the best dunk the Nuggets have made this season, but it might be their best one in the last five years or so. Grant shows off his explosiveness while absolutely throwing it down, but did receive a technical for taunting after the play, although he deserved the right to do whatever he wanted after how incredible the dunk was.
Grant has been on an absolute tear as of late and frankly has been all season. When the Nuggets acquired Grant this offseason, it seemed like a match made in heaven and so far it has worked out as such. Paul Millsap has missed a number of games this season due to injury, which has provided Grant a chance to play with the starting five and thrive in his role.
In the Nuggets last three games, Grant leads Denver with 21.7 points per game and is shooting 50 percent from three. On the season, Grant is averaging 11.7 points, 3.6 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and is shooting just under 40 percent (39.5) from three.
