If the Denver Nuggets want to make a championship run, they are going to need Jerami Grant to get there. Grant brings the Nuggets energy and defensive versatility off the bench, but can also provide you some offense from time to time.
Grant did just that in the Nuggets loss to the Clippers as he scored 25 points on 9-of-14 shooting from the field in his 28 minutes off the bench. The three ball was really working for Grant as he shot 4-of-7 from downtown to go along with his six rebounds and this coast to coast dunk to close the third quarter.
Not only was Grant fantastic last night, but his play in every game at the bubble thus far really gives you confidence for what he can do in the playoffs. With the Nuggets squaring off against Utah in the first round, there is a real chance Denver faces this same Clipper steam in the second round. That seems to be like a series in which Grant could play a major role, just like he did on Wednesday night.
