The Denver Nuggets are 7-1 and we’ve got plenty of reasons to be excited about this 2018-19 season. We’ve seen an all-time performance from Nikola Jokic, a win over Golden State, and of course, the return of Juancho Hernangomez.
After falling out of the rotation last season, Juancho has scratched and clawed his way back into Michael Malone’s favor. On Thursday night in Cleveland, Juancho played 28 minutes, putting up 23 points and sparking a pivotal run in the 110-91 victory.
The Spaniard was active off ball, locked in from deep, and came ready to play on the defensive end too, blocking two shots and grabbing a steal. Juancho put up 10 shots in this one, including 8 three pointers—5 of which he buried. He may have been the best player on the floor and his efforts were enough to earn his first game ball of the season from the Stiffs.
