The anticipation for the moment lasted nearly two years, and on Tuesday night, Michael Porter Jr. stepped on an NBA floor and proved he belonged out there just as much as anybody. While the debut took a long time during the game, only occurring roughly two-thirds of the way through the third quarter, Porter played the rest of the way, accumulating nine points and three rebounds in 17 minutes of action.
It wasn’t a perfect debut, but it was a great start. Nuggets fans can rejoice that the 2018 first round pick that has generated constant excitement both locally and nationally is finally healthy and ready to contribute. His ability to make tough shots look easy is uncanny, and Denver will be more than happy to give him some rotation minutes if he keeps shooting the ball like he did last night.
