According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports, the Oklahoma City Thunder have fired their coach Scott Brooks today after 6 seasons as the head man with the team. Additionally Woj reports that Brooks “immediately” became a top candidate for both the Denver Nuggets and Orlando Magic:
Brooks will immediately become a top candidate for the openings in Orlando and Denver, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

Would this make sense for the Nuggets? That remains to be seen. The Nuggets are in a truly strange place with their team at the current moment, and the lack of clear direction for what the Nuggets are doing may not work in their favor as opposed to Orlando. However, as we all know Brooks was an assistant under George Karl in 2006-07 and is very familiar with Denver from both an organizational stand point as well as from a competitor point of view.
Would that sort of move make sense for the Nuggets who are the very definition of in-flux right now?
